We had a great time with our Malacca tour from singapore. We hired a van from Sg to Malacca because the flight from Manila arrived At Changi at 1 am, and there are no buses to Malacca at this time. We hired Mr. Ku Mohd contact number at +6581424264. He is a good driver. We had problem booking with Journeymalaysia,... More

OK, not knowing what to expect, i just had to visit Malacca because when would I get the chance again to say that I've been there. It wasn't worth the trip 2 hour drive there. There's the original church from 1710. Big deal on the date and the church really isn'y anything to look at. There are some remnant red... More

Malacca successively ruled by Portuguese, Dutch, Britain and their own Sultans has plethora of heritages left behind by each regime. A visit to all the remains is a virtual tour through History. The influence of Chinese over this part of the peninsula is evidenced even today. Add to this the influence of South Indians and the whole place is an... More

We heard about the Malacca Heritage Centre through a friend. Newly opened and run by the curator, we were taken on a personal tour of the family ancestral home. It was like a trip down memory lane for my Peranakan mum and aunt. The house is simple but carefully restored with many personal collectables. The bridal chamber is very authentic... More

It has been said that Malacca is the vintage old city. But unfortunately, it's not as vintage as i expected it to be, well at least compared to Ballarat in Australia. Luckily i went there for my Malaysian friends, so we did keep the fun going:). There are at least my top 3 things in Malacca. They are the red... More

We were convinced by taxi driver that he would do us good deal for day trip. We did not get to see too much & were pretty uncomfortable. Suggest a better time may be had with an organised tour.

Joined a tour from Kuala Lumpur. The trip took more or less 2 hours by bus. First stop was St. Peter's Church built in 1710, it's a nice white catholic church during Portugese time. Then headed to the chinatown. Took us about 1-2 hours exploring by foot. We saw many chinese temples and mosques. Quite interesting sites. After, we crossed... More

The little town of Malacca has a rich cultural history which is evident in the tiny lanes packed with old shop houses and Peranakan mansions. Start at the Heritage Centre in Jonker Street to get an overall picture of the town's history, then stroll the streets and discover Malacca's hidden charm.
