If you are going to the beach for just the day this is a great place to go. Super easy and not far from the pier. You can go from here to the pier and fish. The sand is sugar white!

We need to go back to Gulf Shores sometime soon! We have not been for a while. It is so relaxing and fun. We like walking the beach, wading in the water, collecting sea shells and sunning ourselves for a little while. Good place to come to relax.

We got married here on April 28th. It was amazing, everyone left around 6 and we had the beach to ourselves. They have a concession stand which I didn't try and a large pavillion to use for picnics. Watch out for your flip flops though, Mine were stolen.

Great campground and biking trails. All but one of the trails are paved so skinny tire bikes are fine.

The beach was nice, and not too crowded. They had warm showers which was a definite plus. Use the beach pavilion for picnics, too.

Area is beautiful and the beaches are clean white sugar sand. The pier makes for great sights but fishing takes patience. Great RV park for those needing it with pretty lakes but the nature museum is skimpy. People are warm, helpful and at times delightful. A great place overall that I have enjoyed with friends and family.

Weather kept things quiet while we were there, but the sand and the dunes and the beachfront is a treasure. Not to be missed.

Great 3 bedroom 3 bath with a full kitchen cottage that overlooks a lake. Just a short drive to the beach and also not far from shopping. 4 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of room. If you have more than six people you should bring small air mattresses. We visit a lot of state parks and this... More

Gulf State Park is a beautiful, clean park with much to do for everyone of all ages. The Nature Center had several live native animals for the family to view, including baby alligators. There are pontoon boats to rent that look new as well as canoes in which to paddle around the lakes. The RV sites were spacious and well... More

Nice golf course, small pro shop but friendly personnel not far from 59 in Gulf Shores in the center of the State park.
