Hauz Khas Village is a quirky upmarket pedestrian street which houses boutiques, cafes, restaurants, bookshops, art galleries & antique shops. Great restaurants and boutiques here scattered amongsth the interesting ruins of Hauz Khas village. Good for lunch then a stroll through the remarkable lakeside mosque and tomb complex. Food is very much high end though and you'll pay as much here as you would in central London.

After navigating the crazy weekend traffic all headed into the Village, we were stopped at the barricades from where we walked into a charming area that was fashionable, full of character and life. The eating joints here are great and the atmosphere is quaint. I was specially impressed with the newly opened all vegetarian satvik cusine which serves a good variety of this type of food here
