This is probably one of the best man-made places in the world. I am not particularly spiritual but this place was spiritually electrifying. Not many westerners visit so you'll be welcomed with open arms. Everybody is SO nice! Must visit!

A must for every punjabi . People visit from all over the world. The place where all other gurudwaras and their committees are controlled. Place where akal takht persists. No review needed for this place. Just a feedback that their should be a seperate line for women and senior citizens.
The temple is every bit as gold and pure. The kaarsevaks take care of all visitors from looking after their footwear to cleaning the drinking bowls to serving langar and kara prasad and keeping the walkways clean and the matting in place The huge crowds are well organised and the sarovar zealously guarded from any inappropriate use.It is both a...

Fantastic place to visit anytime , excellent atmosphere . Once in a lifetime experience , one can just spend hours in there just sitting . Best time to visit is during the sunset , you will never regret it . Also check out the food kitchen where food is given for free to anyone regardless of races and religion.
This really is the most awesome place, and I've never seen so much gold! It was busy but the crowds were restrained and peaceful so I never felt threatened. The temple is quite big inside and open so it does get hot, but they have rush matting to walk on and they keep it wet which is necessary because you...

We were able to enjoy virtually a full twenty four hour cycle at The Golden Temple, Sikhism’s Holiest Shrine and it really was a privilege to be there. We had an excellent guide and commencing late afternoon and evening we followed the various stages of the closing ceremony and were lucky enough to have an excellent guide who made sure...

Wonderful and peaceful experience visiting the Golden Temple. The complex is very clean. Access has been improved and the 'gallies' and bazaars of Amritsar surrounding the area are charming and colourful. Must stay for the 'langar'. Served so efficiently and its so tasty, it is a must.
Keep enough time to savour the place. Don't do it in a rushed...

This is a house of worship, yet it felt open and welcoming. beautiful architecture aside, english description of the holy points were provided though can be difficult to interpret the message. Note that there is another entrance around the back with a shorter distance from the "shoe depot" to the temple itself if you wish to avoid walking barefoot for...

We spend the entire day in Golden temple and it was worth it. The place is surely heaven on earth. Its huge, very clean and silent . Also sitting in main gurudwara and reading the god books surely gives lot of peace to a person. In addition to this eating langar and helping in langar was really good. After seeing...
