The feeling at this place is strange. The place is filled with few thousand visitors but it can not accommodate all . Those who want to see all the action should reach there well in advance.

A once-a-lifetime visit... true patriorism ERUPTS and overflows here... people from both countries sitting together and watching the end of the day parade. Get here only if you can amange a VIP pass ... else entry and exit sees one in serpentine queues..reach early and stand in queue to get better seats..

This was the highlight of Amritsar for us. Pure pantomime, funny, dramatic great fun. There is a cheerleader to get the large and noisy crowd going, and the macho posturing of the guards is hilarious. The people taking it in turns run up and down with the flag with the crowd cheering them on is all good natured family stuff.... More

This is a must see ''attraction''. A perfectly harmonious display between two eternally antagonistic powers. Bizarre and unique.
