Have to take the path through the forest on the mountain. a couple of minutues into the walk you'll see set of stairs (wooden logs placed like stairs). Trust me Take it, for a different kind of experience.

This is a trail where you can walk, run, fish, or just take a look at Praia Vermelha and the Sugar Loaf from a different perspective. There is an additional bonus. Not far from the start, you can leave the trail and climb (walk, actually) to the Urca mountain - be prepared for surprised looks from people who paid the... More

This is an easy 2 kilometer trails. Appropriate even for seniors and children. It is located next to Sugar Loaf and runs along the sea. Totally secure and safe looked after by the military. You can see little monkies and exotic birds. You will love it. Bring your camera along.

Just don't miss it. If you visit the Sugarloaf, watch for the starting point to the left of Praia Vermelha. Its a trail suspended by the sea, easy to walk through. Not a round trail, it has a stop point, you have to turn around and go back, therefore if you happen to go with someone who has any kind... More

This short trail under the pao de acucar is very nice for those who visit this major attraction, the forest feeling by the sea is a cool breeze on a hot summer day. This is also starting point for many climbing routes for the more adventurous. Only 3km to the end and back

If you don't want to splash out for the cable car, there is a trail that will take you up to the first hill. Otherwise, just stay on the grandma-path, take photos, watch the monkeys, sit on a bench and write. Almost empty during week-days, good place to jog.

Besides the Praia Vermelha cable Station. Go to the Vermelha Beach, turn left and cross the iron portraits. It's a 1 hour soft walk, with unbelieveble shore and stone views. Lot of "saguis"(small monkies) in the trees). If you have a friend that knows how to walk up to Pao de Acucar, go ahead! itá a 1 additional hour walk... More
