I took the Train as a part of my journey to Honey Island, and i was impressed by everything. Firstly i took the Executive car for R$107, for what you got it is worth it in my opinion. The Train ride through the mountains is beautiful, all the pictures you see tell that tale. In the executive you have big... More

Everyone said that this was a very beautiful train ride and I guess my expectations were too high, yes it goes over some gorges but they were not that big and yes you do wonder through the jungle but I was a bit greened out. Our train also broke down which actually added to the expereince and the staff were... More

Great trip through the forest clad mountains with occasional breathtaking views of the mountains and the track you have followed. Arriving in Morretes you are greeted by small children running alongside the train hoping for a few coins. Go for the cheapest tickets, all seats are allocated and there is no real difference in quality unless you want luxury. Get... More

We rode in the luxury cars, which are 2 cars and travel on their own, not with the economy train. The interior of the cars take you back to the 30's with the decor, finishes, and furniture. You sit in armchairs or love seats, have a table in front of you, and are served drinks and breakfast. The guide narrates... More

This Wednesday, we went on the train ride from Curitiba to Morretes, which is about three hours. The train is slow but the views are very beautiful. On this train ride, you can see waterfalls, large mountains covered in trees (which reminds me of the Allegheny Mtns. when I used to drive through Pennsylvania in the U.S.). In addition, you... More

Well I do have an axe to grind here, booked the trip "turismo" , then found we were in "encomico" which is pretty basic and a quite hard on your rear end after three hours trip, after complaining when we arrived at Morretes we were told that the train was full so they had to use the encomico but we... We took this as far a Morretes. We had lunch there and then took the train back. It is a great trip through forests. Morretes is a cute town with tourist shops and good restaurants for lunch

We bought a tour at Curitiba railway station. The tour included a trip by train to Morretes continued by bus to Antonina where we had lunch, and return by bus to Curitiba. The train is very slow and let’s see spectacular views of the Serra do Mar, Morretes is not particularly interesting, but Antonina has a fantastic sea view. The... More

The train ride down to the ocean is very nice when the weather is good and there is no fog. In the space of 70 km, you drop 900 meters... When I did it, I didn't see anything because it was foggy all the way down! Also, I found it expensive. The lunch in Morretes was overrated.
