The 'cable car' you took to go up can be a fun experience. And upon reaching the highest point, there are lots of things you can do: 1. You can visit the Penang Owl Museum. Now, it doesn't actually host lots of different species of owls, but rather just statues, paintings, and other hand-made crafts with owls as the base... More

To everyone who never been before to Penang Hill should have a try. it will cost you RM 30 for return tickets. 10-20 minutes (30 minutes at most) of enjoy. I think one time of visiting is enough.

If you travel on this funicular and never at any stage feel apprehensive, then you have no idea what has taken place to make this trip possible. First, we took the 204 bus from Weld Quay (this is a terminus for buses close to the water....you can also catch it from the "Komitar" Centre or en-route if you know where... More

This recently rebuilt cable railway is much faster than it's predecessor. The views over the harbour are great, if a little hazy. However for foreigners it is quite overpriced in relation to what it offers

It has potential but a little basic.. The new cable car is great and nice to have a beautiful cafe up there with a great view. Other than that not a lot to keep you busy.. However there is the option of hiking up which I am sure is great fun not to mention healthy ;)

Before March this year, my last trip there was 13 years ago. I was absolutely anxious to see how it looked like now and of course more excited to get the chance to bring my 12year daughter there. And also being able to be there again with my present husband meant a lot too. My first impression was o dear....can... More

But have to go through the long queue to buy tickets and waiting for the train. Paid rm10 for visiting the owl museum which the tour last like 10mins or so..not worth i think unless you are the owl lover. Anyway you may enjoy the spectacular view of Georgetown.

you have the more expensive tickets for foreigner, but its worth it. Time it an hour before dusk, you can see the city in daylight and watch the night lights appear, the view is very nice at night. We were a little late, so we couldnt make it all the way to "monkey cup hill or something like that" ,... More

We had a nice couple of hours at Penang Hill. The views are spectacular and it was nice to be out of steamy Georgetown and in a cooler climate for a while. You can go for a walk, there's (somewhat randomly) an Owl Museum, some places to get food and drinks, at least one Hindu temple and a mosque, and... More

Hotel Bellevue is worth patronizing. 2 days 1 night is worth for cool climate, peace and quiet evening. The temperature plummets from 8pm onwards, during windy and rainy days, the mist and fog come right through the hotel and blanket the entire deck restaurant. Steamboat dinner is a must! while sitting with the steamy pot of soup infront of you, covered... More
