Although not fully re-opened until later in the year, this rice-themed park/museum is a very rare gem. It lets the visitor see how rice is cultivated today and was cultivated before the machine age. There is a lovely, beautifully maintained museum that is open now and there is extensive renovation work going on around the entire park that is scheduled... More

Apparently a very nice thing to do in Langkawi but it is closed until end of October 2013. From outside the place looks pretty nice.

I went in anyway, but there are many cordon off area and re-tiling in progress. No one was around, we walked around the padi area and took some photos. It is nice for urban dwellers like us and my kids to see padi fields up close. Worth visiting since it is so near Cenang beach anyway.

We spent the afternoon here with some of my family as they have been before they knew that we needed to do the guided tour. So we set off in a small group with our traditional hats and started at the herb garden where our guide showed us so many different things picking for us to smell and taste. We... More

See the rice fields and the museum with the old machinery/equipment . Enjoy seeing the various stages of the rice growing and the buffalo working alongside in the fields. This is a must see as rice is one of Malaysias biggest exports. And just oposite after some cultural , is the beach!

We went there in December/January and were guided by a lovely man who was very knowledgeable about his products and area. The herb gardens were also fascinating . I thought the guides were a credit to the museum and the knowledge of English and Langkawi's history was awe inspiring. I would go back for sure.

We had not head about this place, but saw it when we passed thru. It is definitly worth a visit! Interesting and our guide was very experiensed and could tell a lot about rice, spices, animal life there. No entrance fee, and they are very helpful. The tour takes two ours.

Visit of rice museum and fields was one of the most memorable excursions in Langkawi. But you can enjoy it ONLY if you take a guide there! Otherwise it will be simply boring. They have Malay and English speaking guide. My parents don't know English and I translated everything for them. But they still liked it. All the guides are for... More

The place does not present it self at it´s best. But ir is definately worth a visit. Both the museum part, and the actual rice fields. No fee for entering. Do go!
