The beach is acceptable by most standards - the boat trips tp the islands are essential to expereince the clear blue sea and white sands.

Have made the beach more accessible since the Tsunami and its a nice walk along the beach. Can have a cheap massage that's nearly as good as a professional salon.

Not a place I'd like to spend all day every day, lots of people bothering you for trinkets and offering stuff. However, a fixed price for beds for as long as you want gives you some peace of mind, however, if you want to stay for a little while and just relax...stay in your hotel.

Well frankly you stay in patong not for the beach but for shopping and night life. There are many other better options for beach bathing and activities but still some activities are there.

We visited the beach once during our stay in Patong and were bitterly disappointed! It was dirty with rubbish everywhere, and not far away smelt like sewerage! If you have a pool at your hotel i'd highly recommend that as an alternative!

For shopping here is good but many things here is tourist price.I like Bangkok better.Just sit some bar here for short time is ok. You can watch some funny bar ladies and not ladies haha

If your into partying and like high energy beach places, this place is for you. The nice beach, decent hotels. It is a very touristy area, with shops, pricer restaurants and crowds. lovely strip of sand very near to the action...although the kata and karon beaches are better this one is good enough if u live in the patong area. lots of water sports and safe i guess. afternoons can get really hot on the beach so best to go in the morning or evenings.
