Very beautiful beach, waves are huge! A bit dangerous with small kids, I would think. Nice sunset and cute cocktail place! We have spend half of the day there and could not get enough of it! Recommended!

Nice beach not many people, however I found the beaches in Preslin and la Digue much nicer. It is worth to rent a car and visit all the top ranked beaches in one day in Mahe.
It's an outstanding experience to visit Anse Intendance. Strong waves = lots of fun! :-) But you should be very careful, this is really dangerous place to swim.
This beach is one of the top beaches on Mahe and worth a visit. There are neat granite boulder formations that kids enjoy climbing on and lovely trees everywhere. The water is the color you see on postcards - absolutely perfect.
On the day we went, the waves were pretty high so we couldn't swim. Follow signs to Banyan Tree...

Absolutely gorgeous. Wide sweep of white sand, beautifully warm turquoise water, big waves, lots of shade.
Since it is quite deep outside this beach, and if there is a monsoon the waves are awesome. Had a lot of fun there. One time one of us had to leave by ambulance though.
A lovely beach that doesn't get crowded and has plants of shade in the morning for when you need to get out of the sun. The waves are great and a lot of fun though be careful, they may be a little too big for children. There is not restaurant of facilities at this beach.
for me it's the most beautiful beach on Mahe. I it not very easy to find the way, but it's really worth it
Anse Intendance - what a magnificent beach! Very peaceful, with velvety white sand and breathtaking scenery. And the colours of Indian Ocean - in 50 shades of turquoise.
The waters were a bit rough for swimming but perfect for chasing waves!
If you are lucky you can see turtles lying eggs - unforgettable experience!
And when you get a bit peckish...

By far the most beautiful beach on Mahe Island. It is not the best place to swim since there are strong currents but great scenery. The Banyan Tree Hotel nearby is a relaxing place to have lunch or to dine in overlooking the beach..
