Plenty of hand-made batik at a very reasonable price. You can also learn to make your own batik in this place. It is within a short distance from the city centre.

I should check the back of the cloth to find whether it has the same color and... More

This is an old batik village. Not to get the best Batik but we still can find many good quality of Natik. We can have a try to make a simple batik pattern at some places. "Batik Gunawan" is my favorite. The less convenient was someone always following us. Other that that, you can enjoy some old building in Dutch... More

Not many are original anymore and I saw some products coming from Bali, marketed here. Product quality also below average. Only 1-2 shops are still good.

Affordable with nice choices. The smell of batik in the kampoeng, with old-style houses made me think that I was in heaven :). Try the "ledre pisang", a type of pancake made from sticky rice and banana.

A mix of batik shops where fierce bargaining is a must. Nice laid back streets to stroll in.
