a good attempt at trying to maintain the ruins, the fort is reconstructed, the ruins are a reminder of a proud heritage
Nothing much to see here. But when I went I found many peacocks on back of the fort. It was worth for us to visit this fort just because of peacocks.
15 km from from Kuldhara village. A must see if you are interested in paliwals and abandoned villages. ruins of villages. no guide support
Its really superb. Normally you will not find in standard itinerary. It is a ancient cursed village of Paliwal Brahmins which they left about 250 years back. Since then this place is totally ruined and not a single family have lived here since then. A place which holds a special story behind it and is of real historical importance..
a good detour on the way, i liked this compact fort with its ladders and the view of the (astonishingly) green fields below. Also, we spotted so many peacocks, it really made our day.
Khaba is a village close to Jaisalmer, more than half of which is completely
deserted. The grazing cattle and peacocks lead you to the Khabha fort which
has recently been renovated.
What to look around for?
The ancient fort in the Khaba village takes you to the depths of rich history
of the village. The fort houses a Geological Museum...
