Yea, it's a nice beach and protected from the waves and swell. It is a fair walk from the town but that doesn't stop the hordes from invasion. We snorkeled there and saw nothing of interest. Yes, great beach if it was anywhere else, but this is the galapagos, its not just about nice places, for me its about the... More

A few good tips: Try to go early, as the walk close to midday will be to hot to bare! Bring snorkeling equipment. In the lagoon, you'll be able to see rays, turtles, sharks and seals. Rent a kayak for $10 for single one or $20 for double and go around the lagoon for as long as you like.

It is quite a walk from the Port town (about 45 minutes) but definitely worth it. There are two beaches, the first has strong currents so there is no swimming but is great for surfing and you will definitely see some locals surfing there. The second beach which is about 2 minutes farther is really beautiful and extremely calm and... More

The walk is well worth it, but be SURE to take plenty of water --- you can buy some when you sign-in/register.

We started walking at around 11am - way too late, best time to go is early morning. The walk was beautiful, along a well paved path - take plenty water and wear a sun-hat! The path ends at the surf beach - too dangerous for swimming. We saw a Heron, some Sally's (red-crab's) and numerous Marine Iguana's. Tortuga Bay -... More

Although I did not see any turtles (I wasn't promised that I would), this bay is beautiful and was one of my favorite parts on my trip to the Galapagos. You walk about a mile to get here, but it is well worth it. It is serene with white sand beaches, and calm waters that are perfect for swimming.

This place was gorgeous. It was a bit of a walk from the town but the path was stone and it was a great walk with lots of birds and lizards to keep your attention. Once you get off the path, follow the beach to the end and take the path to get to the bay. The bay has calm... More

Great 1.5 mile walk from the trailhead on a nicely-paved path through the native vegetation. You arrive at this wonderful white sandy beach with surf breaking on a reef. Take a right turn, walk along the beach for another 1/2 mile and you arrive at a beautiful lagoon with calm, not too cold, water, perfect for a dip. Snorkelers may... More

The beach really is worth the walk through a mangrove, it took just over half an hour. There is a path the whole way.The beach is long, quiet (almost deserted whilst we were there) and has lovely white sand. For nature lovers, there are iguanas, many types of birds, turtles and rays. Make sure you keep enough water for the... More
