This was the most amazing place to snorkel. I considered diving, but it was not necessary. I saw everything I wanted to see just by floating in the channel and watching sharks, rays, sea turtles and fish swim by. A spotted eagle ray swam literally 2 feet away past my head. I saw at least 50 Galapagos Sharks & 2... More

First part of the trip is a swim along the shore of Isla Lobos, with blue footed boobies, fregatebirds on the trees and sealions, marine iguanas, stingrays in the water. Then the trip continues to Kicker rock, famous for the sharks, turtles. If you would like to maximize the sharks sightings, try to choose an operator who has divers with... More

Leon Dormido is an absolute must if you're anywhere near San Cristobal. It should especially be at the top of your list if you want to see amazing sea creatures but you aren't a diver. I lived in San Cristobal for 3 months as part of a study abroad Master's program. I made it out here on three occasions are... More

I am still pinching myself that my wife and I had the opportunity to snorkel here. The water was a bit rough and unfortunately did not get to see any reef sharks but all else was fantastic. Just an amazing structure with frigates, boobies and then all sorts of underwater beauty.

Just the view of the island from the boat was worthy of the tour. Once you arrive to kicker rock it is beyond my understanding how come this huge rock emerged from the sea. Is just wow. I couldn't swim with sharks because I was to frightened, in my group thankfully no one saw any shark . Before going to... More

Waters were a little rougher than the more protected spots we had previously swam. Deeper water but that afforded us the opportunity to see some reef sharks.

The hour long trip to Kicker Rock allows you to see the island of San Cristobal from the sea. Kicker Rock is this amazing rock formation -- shaped like a foot --- once there the boat circles the rocks AND allows you to snorkel --- led by a leader! We always wear life vests and brought our own snorkeling gear... More

Kicker Rock is one of the best day trips from San Cristobal Island in the galapagos. The trip is for half day and usually goes first to Islas lobos and then to Kicker Rock. People need to be able to swim, Kicker Rock is in open ocean with strong currents, if you don´t swim well, use a lifejacket.

This was one of the two best things we experienced in our entire Galapagos trip (the other was playing with sea lions at Concha y Perla in Isabel). For non-divers, I can't imagine a more thrilling snorkeling trip. Same as everyone has written - sharks (hammerheads!) and rays - lots of them. Even though it looked and sounded intimidating, we... Worth it only if you can go through the rocks multiple times through out the day for best visibility. we went first one time through, then to the beach for lunch and then back through kicker rock again for a second time. The first time there were lots of people and not many sharks, second time we were the only... More
