Gave it a better than average rating as one can get to taste the various local snacks all in one place. Interesting architectural buildings - not sure if they were the real ones or have been restored. Good and interesting enough for a visit.

Jinli street is a very famous tourist place in Chengdu. Its near Wohuci Daije Temple. Jinli street entry is free. I went many times to this place. Every time, like the place more and more. Old style Chengdunese culture street, especially great in the evening with the red lights on. It also contains many interesting things - traditional Chinese cafe with local wines, sugar cane drinks, arrow shooting, ear massage, lollypop making. But the best thing is the snack street with cheap and extremely tasty local snacks!

I would not spend more than 1 hour there, preferably in the evening as it is nice when the lights are up. Not a place to find solitude or have a quiet romantic meal though! These are not "ancient" streets. But Jinli is still a fun place to walk around, see some lovely craftwork mixed in with the junk, get your ears cleaned (!!), and look at an interesting cross section of people. Go, enjoy, have a laugh.

If you don't mind being with great masses of people pushing and shoving you will be OK. Great food outlets

it was touristy, but a fun and busy shopping area. The food street was on the other side. There was a Starbucks and that was fun. Lots of things to take pictures of. I would go again.

The food stalls were set up nicely. We enjoyed some of the snacks. Many stalls selling varies kinds of souvenirs. Though many tourists us, we are able to walk around comfortably. We also passed by the entrance of Wohou Temple and Tibetan Quarter.
