We spent most of the day visiting the different areas of this archeological site. As fascinating as the actual warrior statues themselves is the work that the archeologists are continuing as they reassemble the statues.

We were part of a tour that visited Xian and the Terra Cotta Warriors. The discovery, the museum, the display, the ongoing archeology and reconstruction efforts are amazing. If I lived to be 200 and went back, they still might not be finished. It is a wonder to see. Try to read about it before you go.

We have always wanted to visit and see this incredible discovery of more than 8,000 Terra-cotta warriors, figures of soldiers, horses and chariots. No trip to Xi'an would be complete without seeing the Terra Cotta Warriors. It is very busy so be prepared for crowds of people. Also worth visiting the Terra Cotta factory to see how they make the replicas and to learn about the process.
