The ice sculptures are amazing, even better than we were expecting. We didn't have to queue for tickets too long, but maybe we were just lucky. Our biggest mistake was not buying proper warm shoes to wear. We bought warm clothes, but our feet were freezing. So I strongly recommend buying some warm clothes and shoes so you can fully... More

The sculpture was impressive,....Beautiful!! Before you go, please wear more layers of proper clothes to keep you from being freeze. Very cold, in fact i wore 4 layers of clothes but not enough though i also put some hot pad on my feet and hand. Buy your ticket in advance to avoid the long queue. Bring along some hot beverages... It is the first time that we have been to one of the snow & ice festivals (there are further ones in Japan, Norway etc) and we really enjoyed it. Tip No. 1) Buy your tickets in advance. We bought ours at the hotel. This allows you to skip the (potentially) long queues when arriving at the festival Tip No.... More

On arriving at the ice festival we were very impressed with the huge entrance. It was packed in the foyer and thought we would be queuing ages, however after queuing 5 minutes for tickets we were called to the front of the queue and got straight in. The sculptures were amazing but the park is smaller then we thought it was... More

Visiting the ice festival, along with Sun Island snow park and Volga Manor were the highlights of a wonderful 4 day trip Harbin. We would recommend having an English guide and driver, and planning you itinerary well in advance to maximise enjoyment and minimize cold (-25 to -29C while we were there). The opening night of the Ice festival was... More

I love it. Simple and frankly. It is a must to go there during winter season. I think most of us go there during winter is due to this festival. It is a nice place. I am happy since you can enjoy the ice activities, like skate on chair/bike, and other Harbin winter activities near to the exit area. Advise... More

extremly cold but amazing surrounding, like from a fairy tale. It is a must! I don`t think you can see anything like this in any other part of world. And a good advice would be : keep walking outisde. Don`t go inside for coffee becasue the frozen humid jacket & shoes will become wet and unpleasant. Outsde is cold and... More

The Ice Festival has always been on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Not much to say except "WOW" - in the sheer size of the sculptures, the multi-facited colors that kept changing and did anyone tell you it can get cold. It was minus 25 degrees celcius the evening we were there. I have been to many... More
