We signed up for the cooking class. It started with a tour of the local market. The stalls were mainly operated by rural women, who had often travelled hours to get there. There you could watch the skinning of a live frog, swimming seafood and piles of local fruit and vegetables. All against the noisy and glamorous backdrop of competing... More

Did the morning class and it was fantastic. picked up in a tuk tuk from hotel and taken just outside the city to a rural community. you will arrive at the Soujourn hotel, fairly swanky, but the hotel is doing tourism activities that give directly to the neighboring homes.you will walk to a home, meet the family and see how... I did the morning cooking class on my last day in Siem Reap. I was lucky enough to have a private lesson as no one else was booked in. It was great to see a local village and how a Khmer family do their cooking. Was nice that they give back to the local village by providing a bag of... More

My husband and I took the afternoon class with a lovely English couple. Ours was arranged through Mango Cambodia (also a great company - check them out at www.mangocambodia.com) as part of a 2 week tour. The class was top notch - held outside in a pavillion, then we ate the food we had prepared in an adjacent outdoor covered... More

We found this cooking class by accident but so glad we did. We went and did the afternoon class which included a pick up from our hotel and then a brief walk thought the local village where you get to meet some locals, see how they live and learn about their way of life. In return you provide them rice... More

My husband and I have done several cookery courses around the world now and this one was one of the best. Totally hands on at all points, you cook in an outdoor kitchen with instruction led by a cook and another girl who was really nice and explained everything really clearly and with good banter along the way. Everyone has... More

I had a fantastic morning cooking. The staff were so kind and helpful, offering alternatives for hard to find ingredients. The dishes were absolutely delicious. We did everything - chopping, grinding, grating- the outdoor cooking location was fun but also very clean.

one of the receptionist at our hotel recommened this class and it was fantastic, we were picked up, given a tour of a local garden and shown fruits and herbs growing and explained what medicinal uses they had. We then cooked a three course meal out in the open with a fantastic chef and his lovely assistant. we also got... More

We had such an amazing time at the cooking class we had today there! The food was excellent, the chefs talked very good English and explained everything we wanted to know about the food and so on. The atmosphere was also very good, lively and funny. We had a free pick up and drop off, and we did all the... More

We took a full-day class and enjoyed it quite a bit. The guide, a pleasant young woman whose English was quite good showed us a little of village life and walked us to the outdoor kitchen explaining how the plants growing around us were used. We found that very interesting. In the actual class, all tour participants had his/her own... More
