If you have never seen Roman ruins, it is worth a stop. The ruins are completely exposed and unprotected, unlike many I have seen before. There are signs nearby that provide insight as to what you are looking at.

From a historical point of view, it is a very interesting place to visit. That a man from the town can end up as Roman emperor is truly amazing

There is actually nothing to see, only few rocks scattered on the lawn and on the few places you can see very foundations of the ancient city Salona.

It's hot in the summer, even in June. Relatively easy grounds to walk with the opportunity to view Roman ruins away from the hustle and bustle so common around many similar sites.
