The area should be cleaned, but the view is magnificent. Don't forget to take a boat ride. It's possible to sit on the beautiful beach as well.

It is the wonderful blue colour of this lake that makes this place so special. That and the magnificent Osorno Volcano which can be seen during much of the journey. Through Turistour we took a days boat trip across to Peulla where we stayed for a few hours before catching the boat back to Petrohue. Going by boat allowed us... More

The lake is very beautiful and is called "Lago Esmeralda" which means Emeral Lake because of its colour. Never saw anything like this. Dislike? Nothing

Stunning scenery, great for kayaking and hiking! Easy enough to get the bus from Puerto Varas and enjoy a day there. One of my favourite spots!

Take the boat and visit Paulla. It has an amazing view of all the volcanos no the way. In Peulla you can enjoy a relaxed picnic in the hotel area, cross a small lake in a kayak, or visit the farm in a 4X4. We did the kayak and it was great. They have some tracking options, but only for... More

If you are in puerto varas and like to walk, this is a MUST. It is at the end of the road of lago de todos los santos. Leave the car there, register with the CONAF and follow the trecking route. We walked for six hours (in summer it is a good walk for a cloudy day) and the scenic... More

Take the micro to and from Petrohue and eschew the cruise hoards by walking around on your own and skipping the Saltos. You can find yourself on melt paths and nothing between you and the perennially snow-capped Mt Osorno and the lake.

You go across this lake if you do the Puerto Varas to Bariloche from Chile to Argentina (or variations such as half way to Peulla and back). Weather must be good as the scenery is the at its best. The occasional cloud helps but not too many. Bus to the lake then a smallish boat sitting on the upper deck... More

Very beautiful! We stayed in Puerto Varas and went to Peulla for a day, by excursion (turistour). It's incredible, amazing views. It's two hours of navegation, but it passes so fast, because you are "busy" too much, taking lot of pictures and looking the beauty of the place.
