I wanted to visit this temple (monastery) for a while now. This time we were staying close to MRT Novena so MRT Bishan was only three stops away. We took bus number 52 from front of Junction 8 Shopping Centre (you can also take bus 410 white plate) It was 7 stops, you could see the temple on your left... More

Nice place with a very cleaning enviroment, nice garden where not many people know. Do visit the temple during 1 week before vesak day and 1 day before vesak day too. You will seen the most celebrated event by the temple. Check their website for more details.

Visited this temple for the first time with my husband today. We spent about 3 hours taking our time to walk around this beautiful temple. There are many sections to the temple but they are all connected. If you are there on a rainy day, you will not get wet at all as there are sheltered walk ways connecting to... More

I love this temple. There's a giant Buddha statue on the very top of one of its building. It's so peaceful here. I can just sit for hours and stare at the peaceful face of the Buddha statue and feels like nothing else in this world's matters. Be aware that this temple is huge. It has several buildings in the... Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Temple, is also known as the Bright Hill Temple (much easier to pronounce!). We really enjoyed the trip and were grateful to have gone with a guide who was able to tell us where we could and couldn't enter and take photos and provide some interesting history. The huge Buddha in the main hall... More

This is a fantastic temple complex and other buildings to wander around. Its proper name is Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery. Sometimes called Bright Hill temple because of its location on Bright Hill Drive. Easy to access by public bus from the bus interchange outside Junction 8 Mall in Bishan.

This is a wonderful place to visit, away from the main centre of Singapore tourist sights. I got the MRT train to Bishan, then walked through Junction 8 mall to the Bus Interchange. Got a local bus number 410 a few stops to just before Bright Hill drive (right at the entrance gates to the Monastery - its easy to... More
