The museum could do with an upgrade. It feels a bit left behind, although its location is smack in the middle! The IMAX-theatre is (as always) nice and takes you on a dream voyage by surrounding you in images and sounds. We did this just before we had to leave for the airport and had a nice time. Making it... Its very educational for kids and adults. My younger son thought the house of mirrors very funny and interesting. The museum had updated the exhibit with photos of wildlife. Most of the exhibits were working- worth doing and seeing if you have younger kids.

Our plans were thrown as the weather was very stormy with heavy rains. So we changed out plans and decided to take the children to the Science Museum. It turned out to be a terrific decision. We expected to spent an hour or two and stayed for 4 hours. Plenty of very interactive activities for children AND adults. Staff were... More

The first thing to note is that many other reviews have confused this museum with the Space Museum. These are two different museums. I thought this museum was excellent, almost everything is interactive and I spent a great deal of time trying to complete all of the puzzles in one particular room. Great for kids and adults. "Space Museum." There we tried the simulated thrill of a walk on the Moon in a room where all the bodies weigh were a sixth of its weight as on the Moon!

giant bubble makers. things with lots of gears that make noise when you crank them. a ball floating on a jet of air....also all sorts of serious and yet easy-to-understand stuff downstairs, great for the 4 to 10 set.

It was raining that day and we had to do something indoors. The Science Museum is a fun place.. Ideal for 8-9 year kids. The adjacent History Museum is great as well. The cost was HKD 30 per person for a weekly pass to all museums
