SOHO was a ghost town when the 2008 crash hit Hong Kong, Now it filled with the rich of China who were forced to bring their horded riches back from Switzterland the Jersey Islands. Whereas most of Hong Kong is severely gripped in the economic downturn of the world SOHO is almost the opposite, but you only see the super... More

Busy, bustling and a hot pot with people from all over the world. Great atmosphere and ideal for letting your hair down after a hard week of meetings. Nice bars and lots of friendly people.

SOHO is a great place to visit if you really want to experience the western atmosphere with great restaurants, bars and music. There are many small owner operated restaurants in SOHO where you can spoil your friends, colleagues or partner to show what Hong Kong has to offer for them. I often visit SOHO, at least twice a month. I... More

This area consists of 2 main streets parallel to each other with many bars and restaurants. Not as well known or as much action than Lan Kwai Fong (honestly, a must go for tourist at night) but if you have done Lan Kwai Fong already, worth a vist and prices here are quite reasonable as well.

Same concept which can be seen in Soho, England. If you are bored from Chinese food, drinks etc you can go Soho to feel your self in another part of world (like Europa). you can reach there by the famous escalator (biggest one in an open area, almost 1km)

I live in Hong Kong for 30 year and this is a place that I cannot stop wandering for the small shops, bars, old building mixed with new buildings. A place should not be missed

Rode the midlevels escalators and was amazed at all the shops on both sides. There was so much to see as you go up that I didn't really know where I should be looking. We went to this Irish pub and had a beer while taking in the scene. Expats and locals alike were present. It was an experience for... More

I really like the SOHO area for all the restaurants and bars. I have a few favorite ones but every now and then when I try something else I'm usually quite happy about that as well.
