Absolutely gorgeous museum of art with wonderful objects displayed stunningly. Not a hint of intrusion or hassle from the attendants. There is also a really good bookshop selling proper history and art books at reasonable prices, and clean loos!

This was not on our original itinerary but we will remain eternally grateful to our guide who suggested we fit in before embarking on our Nile Cruise. This museum is an absolute gem, obviously not as big as its counterpart in Cairo but containing some high quality exhibits. So many of the sculptures are marvellously preserved, are carved to very...

big statues and good filling , night is better than morning , only there is no good toilets and services near the place
on the banks of the nile got an hour or so to kill want to go back into the past then for a vary small amount of cash take a trip from everything from tutankamunns bed to ramasees mummy its all there out of the sorching sun for a while i would highly recomend you try it
Lots of amazing artifacts to look at Items taken from the Tomb of Tutankhamun, and the bed he was mummified on. Quite reasonable priced to go in. There is a gift shop on the way out be careful though as we were completely overcharged for what we brought.
Those who have visited the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and found it cluttered (which it is); will love this museum. Obviously fewer exhibits but the presentation and explanations and general ambience of the place is wonderful.

Because there was much that I would have liked to photograph. Not a huge museum, but high quality exhibits with everything well explained.
This museum is well laid out and most of the exhibits are clearly labelled with some detail. I enjoyed my visit but it is comparatively a bit expensive to go round - it's really quite small.

There are also 2 mummy's in the museum which are presented in very sombre & respectful rooms. & even though many of Tutankhamuns's...
