When you are in Amman, you definitely should go to the citadel, where you have a great view over the city and where you can visit old ruins and small museum.
Great ruins within walking distance of downtown. The walk up to the citadel allow for great pictures of Amman.
Well worth a visit. Especially if you like crawling over ruins. I could have spent all day there. Good views across the old town.
