The museum contains a well constructed history of the Jewish diaspora and discusses the differences in Jewish life over time and locations. It is nicely laid out and has some intersting short films as well. A must if you are in Tel Aviv.

We enjoyed our tour of this museum and our view of the magnificent Tel Aviv University campus in which it is located. The museum has displays showing Jewish history from ancient to modern, in various countries, including artifacts, movies, recreations of the interiors of some synagogues located in various countries and models of such synagogues. We were also fortunate in... More

even though part of the main exhibition is not very modern it still gives a very good picture about how Jews lived all over the world during the centuries. the new exhibition about Jewish life in Bucharia is outstanding. the museum is definitely worth a visit, for singles, couples or families. If you are interested in Jewish history you can... More

Located in the heart of the Tel Aviv University campus, this Museum has high ambitions, but to us was a disappointment. If you are familiar with Jewish customs and rules, don't spend too much time on the ground floor or near the interest. What is of real value and well-presented lies above, with a focus on various Jewish communities, their... More

The Diaspora Museum (also known as the Museum of the Jewish People, or Beit Hatfutsot) is located through Matiyahu Gate #2 of Tel Aviv University, on Klausner Street. It is essential for understanding how the Jewish people were unfairly driven from one country after another through their history while making invaluable contributions to the arts and sciences throughout history and... This is a dated and average museum which did have however a series of great models of Jewish worship sites around the world. This was the best part of the museum

brings the interesting history of the diaspora together and explains the ingathering of the Jewish people back to their homeland. the museum is well done, and curated impeccably. Try to follow a guide, they're great.

Unfortunately, this museum is falling apart. We were very much looking forward to the exhibit on the diaspora, but the information was poorly displayed. We feel like we learned more about the diaspora from wikipedia than the museum. None of the interactive stations work. Best part was an amazing artist's sculpture, but unfortunately even the plaque explaining it was missing... More

Our grandchildren were entranced with the minature temples both old and new from all over the world; the cultural aspects of the Jewish people over the ages is very asthetically displayed.
