When I had visited Jerusalem, I had read that you can visit the Parliament. I get there walking from bus station, enter the security check, you need to have a passport with you!!!, and walk inside the Parliament. You can seat and visitors galley and listen to the parliament speakers, then if you are lucky and security will allow you... More

We enjoyed our visit to Israel's parliament. Public tours on Sundays and Thursdays only. Check the website for times tours are offered in various languages. Bring your passport. No exceptions. Gila our tour guide was a very pleasant and informative person. She took a great deal of time explaining the magnificent Chagall tapestries which are the focal point of the... More

We had the chance to visit with our group the Knesset, meeting with a political representative, explaining the Israel situation and then continue with the local guide on all the most important points.

English speaking tours are offered on Sundays and Thursdays. Get to see the Chagall tapestries and mosaic. Learn about the Israeli government and political system. Best of all, the tour is free. I've visited many museums, historical and religious sites in Israel. This is one of the best presentations.

The Israeli parliament, the Knesset, it the beating heart of the democracy in Israel. While most of the debates held in the Knesset are rather boring for visitors (and are held in Hebrew), they demonstrate just how the only Democracy in the Middle East works. Worth a visit.

Quite a walk out of the old city but close to 2 other museums worth a visit with cafes e.g. dead sea scrolls. 3 or so english guided tours a week- arrive 3/4 an hour in advance, bags get checked and left in zippy security bag store area and passports checked. We got to see the debating chamber and many... More

When visiting the Knesset, you get a first-hand understanding how amazing the Israeli democracy is. Nothing in the middle east functions like it. You will be exposed to history but also to everyday decision making.

Despite having been to Israel several times, I had never been inside the Knesset. This time I took the English tour. It is about an hour, and is great. You start with a brief film about the history of the Knesset, then you see the Chagall tapestries and mosaics, and end in the actual legislative chamber. You need to arrive... More
