We went for a drink and stayed for dinner. Great place to enjoy being in Saigon, the sights, sounds and history. Definitely part of the great holiday.

this place has plenty of great ambiance, Reallly good bands, plenty of choice for drinks and a lot of atmosphere. Its beautiful sitting up here with a Saigon Beer in hand watching the world pass by below on 1000 motorbikes.
I was there in February with my boyfriend and we were told by a friend that we must go to the rooftop bar of the Rex Hotel. It was a nice place to have a drink and a very relaxed atmosphere in the middle of a bustling city.
Poor and not terrible because of the descent view and because it is, after all, an iconic place.
service is far away from 5 stars, music played by the band was so so, lighting is too bright, and for a bar that is said to be one of the best in Vietnam... the drinks list ( cocktails and others) is...

This is a bit of a classic tourist thing to do but also a bit of a must while in Saigon. The Rex is an institution, well known as the journo hangout during the 'American War'. We had some very nice ginger mojitos on a stormy Saigon night before heading off to dinner. I like a place that serves a...

Iconic hotel with a large rooftop terrace overlooking the streets below--a great place for a relaxing early evening drink. Good views over the city rooftops but lets face it the real attraction is actually just being able to sit outside, up high and enjoy an al-fresco drink--so rare in the U.K.
As usual the staff were so friendly and helpful....

Spent about a month in HCMC and this was one of our favorite spots. Located about 6 floors up, the restaurant/bar is high enough so you feel a bit removed from the bustling city yet allows you to still hear the noises and most importantly, experience some of the cities best views.
Spent a few days twice in the same month .loved every minute .roof top great atmosphere clean efficient aircondioned large foyers excellent breakfast staff great cant fault it .
As a reader of all of Graham Greene's books, one of my goals was to visit the Rex Rooftop Bar where Graham hung out. We had dinner at the Temple Club and took a short taxi ride to the Rex Hotel - a beautiful hotel. Wisked up to the rooftop and stayed about 1.5 hours and listened to a good...
