The most modern museum we came across in Vietnam. It had excellent displays and gave a lot of insight into the lives of everyday Viet women.
We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful museum. It provides a deep insight into the role women have played throughout the history of Vietnam and a wide perspective of various ethnic groups daily life. The information displayed is thorough and and very interesting. There is also a good museum shop with special handmade gifts.
While I was not blown away by the Women's Museum it did provide some interesting insight into the roles Vietnamese women played in the war and also provides insight into their lives. You don't need much time here about 30 - 45 minutes is enough.
A good museum. Discover the life of street sellers, the role of women in the revolutionary struggle, and the life of women from the ethnic tribes. If you like museums, you might find it better to see it on your own, tours don't quite give you enough time.
This ís an in-depth, moving multimedia collage of women in Vietnam, ranging from fashion and handicraft production to their daily lives and roles that they have played in Vietnamese rural and urban society across the last 70 years, dating back to French colonial rule. Very reasonably priced gift shop with an assortment ò handicrafts. Not to be missed/
recommended by a friend, and now, it is time for me to recommend it! nice display; frequently organize helpful and interesting events; lovely souvenir corner; right at the centre of hanoi (within walking distance from hoankiem lake) surrounded by lovely streets with great sour ice-cream
