We weren't able to go inside as it was closed, but we wandered around and had a coffee in the coffeeshop in the gardens, which was very pleasant. Lovely and picturesque.

Have been there 4-5 times and always had a very enjoyable time. The building brings you back to Pre-war Europe. They have excellent performance but need to know when. If you have a change please go and see
Look out for performances as a way to enjoy this amazing building. We were handed a leaflet near the lake advertising ballet at the Opera House on a Friday night. Unforgettable experience! Dont forget to visit the grand room upstairs above the foyer.

A legacy of the French colonisation the Opera House is very typically French although it probably hasn't had a facelift since they left. The ABU used this very traditional location for a cocktail reception and their Festival of Song I scored a private box and thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening
