Even though our business has seen tremendous growth, we have decided that this small class size maintains the personalization and individual attention that each student deserves. Yui (Siripen Sriyabhaya), Thailand's international TV chef still teaches every dish in every class to guarantee the highest quality of instruction. Her expertise attracts a variety of students such as, TV chefs, executive chefs, culinary school teachers, international Thai cooking instructors, food columnists, cookbook authors, tourists, and food lovers.Yui's unique blend of art and science truly make cooking exciting, fun, and easy to follow. When students cook these delicious dishes in class, they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to recreate these dishes at home. « less

I have travelled all over Southeast Asia and this by far the best cooking class I have ever taken. The reason for this is Yui - the owner and instructor. She is knowledgable, funny, laid back and extremely friendly. More

Chiang Mai is filled with cooking schools that run the gamut from adequate (at best) to exceptional. A Lot of Thai is definitely at the exceptional end (no need to do more than witness the 100% very good to excellent ratings with most excellent). Yui's school is conducted at her family home and you will feel like an honored guest... More

Yui came to pick up each of us in her vintage van. Class size was small, so we each got a lot of attention from her. She's nice, she's personable, she breaks everything down to the how's and why's so you can easily understand (I understood why many of my past Thai cooking attempts had failed). You leave with a... I recently took a full day course at A lot of Thai and I was so impressed! The classes are small and therefore personalized. Yui is a natural teacher--warm, patient, enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. Her passion for cooking is truly infectious. I loved how organized the instruction was. Yui broke everything down into an easy to follow format, which was... More

Without question, A lot of Thai couldn't be any better. I loved the personal attention that Yui gave not just me, but everyone in the class. She chooses to keep her class size to 8 people for that reason. Not being a cook and having very little experience in front of the stove, I am now confident enough to go... More

Yui is a great teacher, funny and helpful she was a pleasure to learn from. She showed us how to make 6 amazing dishes and then we made them, so delicious! A great way to end our trip to Thailand. So affordable and fun. Definitely do it if you love to eat or cook food! More

I am a lover of eating, and a few days later I came to the conclusion that this may have been the best food I've ever eaten. Yui is as great as all of her other reviews say that she is, and her class was one of the biggest highlights of my wife and I's two weeks in Thailand. The... More

There are a few cooking classes you can do in Thailand and we went for this one, whilst in Chiang Mai. We went for the half day lesson and learned to cook three well known Thai dishes. Our teacher was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Along the way, she shared tips, advice on 'how to', ingredients and suggestions on how... More

I had read about Yui and her A lot of Thai cooking school on tripadvisor and decided to sign up based on the reviews and casual atmosphere of the classes. Yui herself actually picked us up at our hotel in the morning and drove us to her home. The class was made up of 9 international travellers who fell within... More

There are many cooking classes to choose from when you come to Chiang Mai. All of them allow you to make pad Thai, a soup, a sticky rice, a curry and a few others. What I loved about A Lot of Thai is that everyone cooked their own dish at their own station, Yui teaches the art as well as... More
