We did the morning course and did 4 dishes as well the the market tour. As a couple that loves to cook we really enjoyed the description of all the foods as well as the cooking. The class size at 7 was excellent too. Nice enough to meet new people but not too big. Oun our cook and guide was... More

Great way to learn what is in your food and understand the flavors you are tasting. The instructors do a great job, are helpful, and have lots of enthusiasm. We enjoyed making our evening meal and getting a chance to eat it. Liked visiting with the other people at our table too. More

I spent a day at Baan Thai with my partner. I enjoy cooking and am confident in the kitchen, but my partner's cooking experience extended to putting a pizza in the microwave! We both had a great time which I think shows that this really is suitable for everyone! Benz and the team were very friendly and after the morning... More

The staff there are so sweet and friendly they made the whole experience really fun. It's a nice couple of hours - we made some friends. The whole set up is nice - everyone is making their own dishes with good thorough instruction. The recipe book is great. And they took extra special care to help us with our vegetarian... More

I chose to cook : - spring rolls - red curry paste - Chang Mai Noodle with Chicken (Khao Soi) - Chicken & Cashew Nut - Hot and Sour Prawn Soup (Tom Yum Khoong). There were 7 people in our... More

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 days in Thailand. One of the many highlights of our trip was our day at the Baan Thai cooking school. We( my sister & I ) chose to take the full day cooking class. It was fantastic! We started out with our little baskets & a trip to the local market, where... More

Very nice family kind of cooking school. Small groups, you will really enjoy it if you like to participate. You prepare your own dish with the supervision of one teacher, and then eat it! You have to chose beetwen 3 meals each time, 5 differents cathegories (soup, curry dishes, noodles dishes, desert...) they even give you a recipe book you... More

Staff were lovely but facilities i.e. toilets need an upgrade as does the actual rooms themselves, handwash was empty, signs need to be replaced and the floor needs to be washed. Location lovely and trip to market to see food great too. Remember though I am comparing it to Australia and this is Thailand. More

After doing some research online, we decided to try out the Baan Thai cooking school in Chiang Mai. My husband (who has never done much cooking before) and myself were collected from our hotel and driven to the cookery school around 9.30am. What we particularly liked about this course was that we were in a group of only eight people.... More
