Brilliant public transport links (BTS). Lots of restaurants and bars all over the place, along with hotels. Ideal base for a visitor.
Because it is a foreign residential areas, we are all together one way for foreigners supermarket and shopping centers, restaurants, hair salons. BTS, so I go along the Sukhumvit Road, travel is also easy. Take the inn to Soi3 ~ 7 around the time of vacation, we use it properly taking the inn to Soi24 ~ 26 around the time... More

This bar was absolutely terrible. Was totally racist and rude, will never ever EVER recommend it to anyone and will be complaining to a national NZ documentary channel so no one goes there again :) i wish you the worst of luck you awfully racist and unfair bar!!!
Roads filled with Traffic. You can get anything at this place. Full of shops, malls, massage centers, premium hotels to budget hotels all are available at one area. One just have the time to explore it.
When you arrive in the day time, this area is looked a normal street. But when you pass after 6pm, you can see many seller, people, spa corners, or prostitutions surrounding. When guest stay on sukhumvit area, guest are able to find any activities or just find meals in the midnight time. Very atractive area.
It's a good place to go but be aware of some prices as Thailand used to be quite a cheap place to go but not now. Soi cowboy which is just off sukhumvit is very glitzy ,but the alcohol is London prices or even higher in a few bars there. There are plenty of good places to eat there ands... More
Possibly the longest road in Bangkok, if one only has a few days to spend in the city, I would recommend one stays in one of the many hotels around Sukhuvit. The narrow roads branching off both sides of Sukhumvit road are organised and are called "SOI". I think there 1 to 75 sois and cater to all kinds of... More
I stayed at the Rembrandt Service Apartments on 20 Sukhumvit Road and the Sky Train was really closeby. For 28 Baht I would take the BTS from Asok to Siam Station to visit the Paragon, Siam Centre and Siam Discovery. Due visit the stalls at Nana on the northern side of the Road to haggle a good deal on t-shirts,... More
This is the only place to stay when you visit Bangkok. It has it all, restaurants, bars, massage, hotels, shopping, street food and the sky train. We always stay between Soi 22 and Soi 10 but 22 is our favourite. It has our favourite hotel, Citrus plus heaps of bars and restaurants. From here it is a 5 minute walk... More
