Massive crowd esp during evenings. Filled with teenagers and young people. Very loud everywhere. Cannot shop comfortably, it is either too hot or raining. Shop onwers were not friendly and expected you to buy when you are just looking. Though there are a lot of restaurants around, things are expensive and unorganised. Will not go there to again.

Here, you really can shop till you drop. Food everywhere, This is the place to be in Taipei! I would recommend for you to stay here then take the train to anywhere else you want.

we bought some souvenir stuffs from this place, because they have more unique stuff like: Folding paper arts, sewing patterns, unique post cards. The themed shops are also delightfull to the eye. Highly recommended to stop here for those who have their accomodation around Ximending area.

Aside from shopping malls, at night the area becomes performance venues for various artists (painters, spray painters, clowns, magicians, dancers, new age performances). Night market food are also available on some streets.

Place was very crowded during the weekend. A lot of shops within the area which open till late night. Overall its a great location for hangout.
