It's an absolutely astounding piece of architecture. Every part of the house is open for exploring. The tour is guided and very well structured. Be prepared to give this at least 2 hours for the house itself. The museum and the grounds are great too. The house is lived in by the owner who lived with the Seelye sisters. He... More

I liked the fact that the furnishings are all original and the stories that have survived down through the years. Also the fact that Terry the gentleman who owns the house has made arrangements for the home to be cared for long into the future. He knew the ladies who inherited the mansion, and actually bought it from them allowing... More

My wife and I really enjoyed the Mansion. Our guide was fantastic. It's a long tour but he made it fun and interesting for everyone. The picture is a wonderful old bowling alley. Check it out!

My Fiance and I visited this one a Sunday so we were the only visitors there. We didn't know what quite to expect. But we were awing and ooing the whole time. You truly get immersed into the house and the family that lived there's lives. We spent 2 hours there without evening knowing. It was truly great and you... More

We went the end of December while the mansion was still decorated for Christmas. The owner/tour guide Terry did an outstanding job. We sang Christmas songs as he played first the piano and then the pump organ. I would highly recommend a person to tour this home. It is full of history and many interesting stories!!

First, let me start out by saying I did not want to go with my wife to see the Seelye Mansion but very glad I did. A friend of my wife's told us about the mansion and that it was one of her favorite places in Kansas. The mansion itself was built in 1905 at a cost of $55,000.00 and... More

The mansion has individual tours conducted by the Owner who actually lives in the house. You get to see every room in the house. The decor is excellent, including the "bowling alley" in the basement. The house was built in 1905 at a cost of $55,000, and includes severaly ideas and items from the 1904 Worlds Fair.

Step back in time, see a home frozen in time to the Golden Age. If possible please try to get a tour with Terry the owner of this fine home. His stories add so much to the tour you will be taken back in time you can almost see the sisters holding their parties. As per Terry try to come... More

It is always interesting to visit a complete home kept as it was functioning at that time. Makes you appreciate how easy everything is now.
