Great place to fully enjoy the first mauritian sport. Whatever being in the grand-stand or in the crown lodge, the atmosphere is great and you feel the passion. The price is cheap also for non-mauritian.

Not the place to go really unless you enjoy the noise , crowd and haggling. The area is full of people and poorly kept. Not the place for a non local.

We attended a charity function the first time and had a fantastic day out. Second time a group of friends and also had a great day at the races. very intimate and friendly with your own 'bookie' in the private box.
