My sister and I sailed aboard the Carnival Glory April 28-May 5, 2013 and we booked the Maya Key Private Island Snorkeling w/ Lunch through Carnival directly. We left the ship and went to meet the tour guide. We had about 35 min to wait till it was time to leave so we wandered around the stores located right off... More

I booked the excursion to maya key on my carnival glory cruise, and had a lot of fun. you have about a 5 minute scenic walk from the meeting place to the boat, and from there it's about a 10 minute boat ride. the pier is in front of the "yellow" building where you pick up your snorkel gear and... We went here from our cruise ship in April, (yes, it is only available from the cruise ships,) There weren't very many people there. (I think some of the Carnival ships weren't able to dock that day - I don't know if their passengers would have come to Maya Key,) lovely beach, the snorkeling was AMAZING. I had never been... More

We decided to book Maya Key from our cruise ship (now the only way you can get there) and we had an AMAZING time. The place is just beautiful. They have lush greenery and flowers everywhere and beautifully landscaped. They have a replica Mayan Ruins which was pretty. A huge gift shop and the restrooms/changing/locker room areas were very modern... More

We recently completed a cruise on Royal Caribbean and stopped off in Roatan at a small island called Maya Key. This excursion was booked through the cruise line. It offered swimming, snorkeling, and guided tours of an animal sanctuary. This is a lovely place to relax...the day we were there the weather was poor, but we had the place to... More

My husband and I returned from a visit to Maya Key two weeks ago. Wow! Everything was perfect! We booked through Princess cruise line, as that is the only way you can visit. The beach was so clean with plenty of loungers and shade. You can rent snorkel equipment and snorkel right off the pier. The snorkeling was the best... More

We signed up for this exersion on our cruise and booked via Royal Carribean. It was reasonably priced and the reviews were positive. This caye is a gem. Note it is called Maya Key in the exersion book. The boat picks you up right up on the cruise pier, and whisks you over the bay to this little piece of... More

We booked this through a Carnival cruise, and it was really well done and worthwhile. We're a family of 7 with kids from 4-19 and I wanted something we could do that would be fun for all. The boat ride was quick and fun. We were some of the first people on the island and they recommended we try snorkeling... More

We spent the day on Maya Key swimming, snorkeling, walking around the island. Lovely spot although the water wasn't as blue as we expected. The restaurant food was really good too. I love that the island is a wildlife sactuary. You can see monkeys in the trees and other animals that have been rescued. I would highly recommend spending some... More

Visited this private island while on a Norwegian Dawn cruise. Soon after arriving, I signed up for the Sea Lion Encounter. One of the trainers escorted me into a caged area to meet "Ting", one of three recused sea lions. I got to do hugs, flipper shakes, pats and a sea lion kiss (well, actually, Ting likes to blow in...
