Decent fishing, nice quite place to escape for an afternoon. Not a lot of shade in some areas. Decent public beach, but I prefer the walk around to a semi-secluded bit of shore. No launching even personal floatation devices from the damn fishing area though.

Not only the Aurora Reservoir offers a wonderful view, but it has a very well-maintained trail that can be used for walking, biking, running, roller blading, you name it! It's also a great place for families with kids. The kids can swim at the little beach, fish, and play at the park. Also a wonderful place for a little picnic!

The trails are wide and smooth at Aurora Reservoir and there are rarely any crowds to deal with. Sadly, there are not many trees aside from the reservoir there isn't much to look at while riding. But it offers a nice 8 mile loop.

Water supply so kept very clean. Very popular with fisherman as there are some very large fish. Only place I know in metro area where they promote scuba diving. No motorized boats. Swimming in season. There is a popular trail around the lake of about 8 miles. It is kind of pricy to get in and not great for just... More

We like to take our canoe out to Aurora Reservior. The grounds and beaches are clean. The restrooms are also clean. I guess that the one negative thing would be that it does get crowded on the busy weekends. I have seen lines to get into the park extend for several miles. Once full, you have to wait for a... More

Clean water, decent restrooms, trails around the reservoir...nice place to hang out! Kids will enjoy the "beach". Nice picnic areas with shade, close in parking.

There are no motorized boats allowed on this reservoir so we bike around it instead! The water is very clean! And a great place to bike around! There are a lot of people fishing here too!

The beach is fun for families, but the wind kicks up in the late morning, so be careful with umbrellas and tents. I also really enjoy the archery range. Goes out over 60 yards. Fun

It's a great place to go for a short get away. Like fishing? Like swimming? Like paddle boats? Like canoes? Kids like playgrounds? Enjoy barbequeing? You can do it all! Friendly staff and knowledgable rangers. Just go have fun.
