It was very crowded when we were there. However, the crowd moved freely. I was impressed at how many people could be in one space and I didn't feel like a sardine.

A Site for everyone. The Memorial was all I expected and more. The history that has taken place at this memorial goes without saying and is definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful even with the hordes of people..tourist and students on excursion. Too bad the area around the reflecting pool was under renovation so the view was a little marred.

The sheer size of it makes it seem very imposing and yet once in there you feel comforted by Lincoln quietly watching over and protecting you.

Definetely visit the Lincoln memorial! One of the most impressive memorials in the city, especially seeing the huge statue of Lincoln is a highlight, even though the place is usually crowded.

My hubby and I visited the memorial at around 11pm.. Yep PM, in the evening. There were a lot of people out and it was a beautiful night. So much cooler then during the day. DC is safe especially in that area police were everywhere. Once we reached the monument there were lots of people there taking pictures or just... More

Very impressive because of the "scale", site and position relative to other memorials and city sights breathtaking. Too many people (on the weekend we visited) and the noise of the people showed little or no respect for Mr Lincoln.

It's a necessary stop on any DC vacation. They view looking out from Lincolns perspective is awesome. The scale of the statue has to be seen up close to truy appreciate. FYI, if you visit in the summer months, the entrance to the restrooms/elevator has a small area with information on the building of the monument, and is also air... More

Arrive in D.C. with two grown kids...went to many museums, and saw other sights - was disappointed with the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool - The Lincoln Memorial itself was very dirty, looked as if it was not cleaned in a very long time. The bathroom downstairs was messy and not clean - had an odor that made you not... More

too many people, no subway around and only one bathroom covering a very large area. There is some construction around the reflection pool & monument. Not very pretty.
