Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Coming from California I wasn't prepared for the size of this lake which is more of a land locked ocean. You can't see across it which was mind boggling to me, but then again it is the 2nd largest lake in the US. Nice beaches and rock hunting as well. The water was cold, but ok for my toes.

A nice place to get away from typical city living! Early spring and fall, once the kiddos have gone back to school, make for great uncrowded beach time on Presque Isle. The beaches are a bit crowded and littered during peak summer hours. Last tim I visited was a warm April day and the beach was practically ours all day. Presque Isle is a beautiful drive and great for walking or biking! The town is small and filled with small touristy style restaraunts. Night life isn't very popular and it seems like even the bars are closed by 10:00.

Presque Isle is a wonderful place to spend the day! Nice Sandy Beach, beautiful Sunsets. Lots of stores and shops before you head into the beach. Also nice bike trails, walking paths, bike rentals. Great for picnics and those who like to swim. Also a playground for the kids. There is A light house you can look at.Nice place to take the Family.

After our spectacular visit of Niagara Falls, we visited Erie city and the sparkling lake.it is a lovely place which we all liked and spent some time at the lake, admiring the beauty of the Lake.

The climate of Erie is typical of the Great Lakes. Erie is located in the snow belt that stretches from Cleveland to Syracuse and Watertown; accordingly, its winters are typically cold, with heavy lake effect snow, but also with occasional stretches of mild weather that cause accumulated snow to melt. Erie's location along the shores of Lake Erie provides a plethora of outdoor activities throughout the year

It is said that the lake Erie gets frozen in Winter and people can walk over the lake. My Son who graduated from Ganon University, Erie PA, has more exposure about this lake. He has seen it in .winter and in other seasons.too. He was a guide to us, when we visited this lake as well as the the university campus and Downton areas.

Lake Erie is the fourth largest lake, by surface area, of the five Great Lakes in dNorth America, and the tenth largest globally or twelfth largest globally if measured in terms of surface area.
We enjoyed fully our visit to Lake Erie and returned to our.place Atlanta.

We visited Lake Erie on our way home from Niagra Falls. It's such a beautiful place. It was very clean and peaceful. We enjoyed visiting the lighthouse and going to the top of it. The beaches are nice. We had a wonderful time.

As a child my family spent nearly every weekend at Pymatuning. My dad and my uncles would come to Erie during the day while us kids fished or swam in Pymatuning. We were never allowed to come to Erie with dad because we were to small. Coming here now....it's amazing. The views...wildlife...just everything. My dog loves going to the marina and chasing waves on the shore or playing with the ducks in Walnut Creek. It just a laid back relaxing atmosphere here. One of these days I have got to get a charter and go out Walleye fishing. Nothing tastes better then an Erie Walleye. And the ones my dad and uncles would bring back to camp were always huge so I'm sure I could catch one my dad would be proud of!
