with an on site smokehouse their smoked poussin was delicious served on a parsnip mash with honey (from their own bees) glaze and their smoked cheddar potatoes under the ribeye was also very good.

Lochmara Lodge has pleasant surprises around each corner, great artwork from local artists, animals, fantastic scenery, free kayaks, brilliant food, comfortable accomodation with exceptional service from Bo and Saskia. Our group had a ball in our overnight stay at Lochmara, we will be back for sure.
Just had a day trip to Lochmara and can't praise it highly enough. ...the trip over from Picton was great with the skipper pausing to show us seals basking on rocks. From the moment we arrived we were treated with courtesy and friendliness. The staff were all great, the tranquillity of the place was fabulous, and there are plenty of...

Only had time for a day trip from Picton but even the rain couldn't dampen the experiece. STUNNING location and plenty of interesting things to do. Kids love the animals especially the feeding times.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, there's a warmth and whimsy that emanates from the art scattered all over the property, and all of the staff...

Amazing place to go for a day trip or over night, with lots to do or too just unwind and relax. Beauitful food and lovley staff great place for the whole family.

But, on the plus side, the chef and kitchen staff...

We were booked into a two-day kayak trip with Marlborough Sounds Adventures, and they include a variety of options for overnighting, Lochmara is just one. I was absolutely blown away by the amazing facilities at this hillside paradise! We kayaked in, and I must admit that by then, all I wanted was a hot shower and a dry bed! Instead,...
