The light is best after 4:00pm to take photos of the building and it's two cats. Unless you're a cat lover there's really not much to see or even enjoy.
Nothing more, nothing less, it is the Cat House. Do stop by and have a look at the rooftop mousers. In the vicinity there are loads of cafes and restaurants so in general it's a good place to hang out.
The most wonderful part of a trip it Riga is walking its history and letting its buildings tell their story. The Cat House tells a tale of human nature that is as fresh and true today as it was then. I would definitely include a walk-by.
The Cat House is a building with a cat on the roof. Bit of a historical story with it. It is in a nice area, lovely square very nearby with a lot of places to eat of have a coffee. If you are visiting the Old Town Square you won't miss it.

Besides the lovely cat on the roof, this building hosts a fantastic restaurant as well! Interesting menu, honest serious cooking, had "minogi" fish in light aspic ----- yammy!!! Local beer, superb quality steak, great presentation and fair price, really good place.
