It has to be seen really. There was a guy on the banks of the danube playing glasses of water - he sounded absolutely amazing!! The danube had pretty much burst its banks and there were film crews warning people of the flooding - but this didnt take away the magic!

You can take a walk alonf the banks, or if you want you can buy a ticket and take the boat. It's 500 HUF, and it'a available all day. You can take it for a station or two, take a walk there and then hope in the next one and so on. The last one passes at 18:00, you have... More

Amazing to see. When I was there it was flooding, highly recommend walking along the banks. All of the bridges are remarkable as well. A worthy walk.

The focal point of Budapest with bridges, boats, walks, promenades and of course views from both sides. Even the flooding and occasional sandbag didnt detract from this wonderful, meandering river that is the focal point of Budapest. It did however, suspend cruising and a visit to Margaret Island. An excuse for another trip I guess!

Very relaxing - if you go on one of the hop on hop off, make sure it includes this. The one I took lasted an hour and you had the chance to spend some time on the island.

It is spectacular in the day, but even better at night. I would recommend seeing it both times. I wish it hadn't been so rainy as we would've like to had a dinner cruise but....

Good orientation for the rest of the sight seeing trip. Friendly and relaced with on-board commentary on headphones

Walks on the Pest side are better because of the magnificent views of Buda on the opposite bank - especially in the evenings when the hills are well lit. Sadly, we somehow never managed to get the boat cruise along the Danube - just confusing as to where/when to catch a boat.

What can you say. It's breath taking for some on echo has never seeing before. It is immense. It is quite romantic at night just to sit along the side. Or you can go on one of the boat restaurants which look amazing.
