The walk up the hill didn't take too long, but was tough so not for those with mobility issues. There are plenty of places to rest. The monument is great and the views are incredible. The walk up was worth it just for this. A large bottle of cold water up the top was cheap too. Better views than from... More

Go with bus 27 from Móricz Körter station (bus are a short walk from the trams and are on another street) up the hill and enjoy the view with hundreds of other tourists. The views are spectacular (and for free), but furthermore is just a very touristy and VERY expensive spot.

We walked up to this hill at dark night time. It was an experience. After a long walk up the hill (nice green surroundings and warm summer night) these statues were a huge surprise because they were so tall and simply came out of the blue when we reached the top. View from this location was marvelous, you can see... More

Fabulous views across the whole of Pest and Buda. Take your time to climb. You lose the noise of the traffic very quickly and can appreciate the city. Nice views of the Castle and all the major landmarks.

If you wanna make perfect and beautiful photos on Budapest than the best place is to go is the Gellért hegy (hill). You can park close there if you come by car although it is not the cheapest area. Anyhow you will have a nice view on the castle area, the Danube river, you can see the Pest-side with all... More

Great climb and beautiful views. The climb can be hard and quite steep but it's well maintained. Give stout quite a perspective on the Danube and give s great photo of all the major bridges spanning he river. I'd avoid it late at night as its quite secluded and parts of the path are very quiet and shaded.

The best panoramic view all over Budapest! you feel like you are on a higher mountain top due to the high view exposure and clarity. We really enjoyed the world war tank display also and the quiteness in that Citadelle and the Statue of Liberty is really cool and its like it is guarding the city... It is a must... More
