Stunning View, good restaurant, not much significant history. The vendors were more expensive than those in the square or city markets.

Good views from this hill, Buda Castle is right next door to the Office of the President of Hungary where you can see the changing of the guard, plus up there was also a food festive which was nice.

This is definitely worth the hike up to the top. There is a cable car that can carry you up, but unless you have a legitimate medical issue, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to make it on foot. The cable car is like $15 or so round-trip. We walked both up and down. The whole area at the... More

the palace it self was a fasinating building but it was the whole area, especially at night that blew me away, it was like looking at a picture in a childs fairy tale book. I dont have the words to say how lovely it was, just that it was the first time my friend and I were stunned into awe... More

I was shocked to find a small village within the castle grounds - shops, restaurants, and an open market. We took the "hop on hop off" bus and thought it would be a quick stopover but ended up spending several hours just wandering around, drinking a beer, and enjoying the spectacular vistas. This is a must see on any trip... More

Best place to see Budapest from higher ground, and when you are there don't miss best strudels in Budapest at Retesvar Cukrazdsa in small hall way just before Mathias church.

interesting, more the medieval floor. then the Hungarian history is very interesting, but please get the audioguide: it's impossible without it. then prepare yourself, because it's a very long visit!

The Castle itself is beautiful, but it isn't the nicest building in the city, many monuments have more impressive architecture than it, however the view from the hill overlooking the danube from one side and the hills from the other, along with the quarter surrounding it which is wonderful to walk through, makes it definitely a wonderful experience.
