This small exhibit is powerful because it captures one single horrific event during the holocaust and now serves as a memorial shrine.

The collection of shoes next to the Danube are a stark reminder of the innocent people who perished during the war. It can't help but bring tears to your eyes. Very sad reminder.

One way to get there is to take the number two tram all the way to the end stop by Parliament and take your chances of crossing the busy road to the embankment, which is what we did. My guess is that eventually there will... More

a must to see and take time to reflect. Very clever sculpture to show that rich or poor young or old, all were persecuted.

simple but poignant memorial, fortunately got to see it the day before they disappeared under the flood water, worth dropping by and spending a moment to contemplate the evil they were subjected to!

This is both sad and amazing. It really puts all the history into reality for me. Standing there and thinking what those poor people endured is heart breaking. As a history buff I'd say do not miss this amazing opportunity. Plus it's free. With the road works it was hard to get to. Walk down from the main green bridge... More
