This made a great day trip. Because Wilanow was well outside of town during the WWII Uprisings, it wasn't levelled like the rest of Warsaw. Consequently, the palace was left intact. This is actually a pretty livable place for a palace, which made it quite fun to visit. The portrait gallery, by the way, was much more interesting than I... More

The Wilanow Palace, summer residence of the King Jan III Sobieski is a unique place. It was spared during the World War II from the distraction. Now it has been renovated and is really charming and very royal. There are nice gardens and grounds surrounding the palace, together with a sizable and well kept park. During Spring and Summer months... More

We have visited the Palace on Sunday when the entrance is free. To go inside the palace you will need a ticket, which you will get at the ticket office (which is outside of the park and Palace, so if you don't get it when you are close you have to walk back). The Palace is really great. It is... More

Easily accesible by public transportation (15 minute bus ride), it's a very interesting palace (not too large).

Great for couples and families. So green. Fine architecture. Large park where you can find some privacy. Good place for a nice afternoon. Good restaurants nearby.

This sumptuous palace is a must to visit when in Warsaw. Beautifully restored with a host of excellent rooms to view. I visited on a Sunday, which was fortunate as entry to the palace is free on Sundays (normally 20 zl) and one only has to pay 5zl park admission. If you're thinking of a snack, drink or lunch, unless... More

...when compared to Buckingham or Versailles Palaces. I was able to walk through the gardens and the palace itself. A lot was saved/ recovered from Nazi Germany, which was good to see. One of the downsides is they were having a special exhibit, so some of the main rooms were covered with black boards almost and there was artwork hanging... More

Wilanow Palace used to be a summer residence of Polish kings. It is located outside the city center but can be easily reached by 180 or 116 buses (33 minutes from Warsaw Old Town, go with bus the the end of line). Great place to go for day or half day trip. When you arrive you not only have great... More

I have been to many palaces and I think this was one of the best. lots of rooms to view. Beautiful place to walk around during the nice weather. They even have a garden. I have not seen it in full bloom but am looking forward to going this Spring.

I was really impressed to find out that this is really cute, well saved palace, accomplished with big park, huge pond, fountains, beautiful cathedrals, whatever. Unfortunately till end of April palace itself is closed to visit inside, but one can walk through the park and regular garden (small price for entrance - just about 2 euro). This is interesting historical... More
