Was very crowded when we visited, with lots of school groups. Was not able to see the inside as well as we would have liked. To visit other parts of cathedral there was a charge.

We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny and spring day and we were sorry to leave. The Cathedral and the Castle are superb but the entire surroundings are so relaxing and inviting with stunning views of the river and most of the town. Easy and pleasant walk from the Castle to the Market Square.
Its interior gold and black is impressive but may not be for everybody as some like it simple. There is a lot of detalis in the Cathedral so suggest you read about it first or bring a guide book. Several Polish kings, poets and heroes are buried there, including Fredrik Chopin. Climb to the tower to see its famous bell,...

Cost 24zltoty for 2 of us ( about £5.50), money well spent.Lots of history in one place, you have the tombs of the Polish kings and also the Tower bell to see. A definate must when in Krakow.
The Wawel Hill is the most worth visiting place in Krakow, and the Cathedral is a true pearl of the place. Definetely sth you shouldn't miss.
Skip the long line at the ticket booth for the castle and just go to see the Cathedral and the castle grounds. The cathedral is really well taken care of and beautiful. This is a landmark that reflects a lot of pride.
Through the day there are lots of tourists there. You need to come sooner because the tickets for a day are limited. You need to buy a ticket on every single entrance. But this provides the possibility of choose only the things you want to visit there. We visited also around the 6 p.m and there was almost nobody there,...

Walking up here is fun, especially if you get a local tour guide who can brief you on the history of this place as well as the tour inside the cathedral - lot of nuances that you will miss out if you dont take a guide here
This beautiful and well preserved cathedral and surrounding structures are a "must see" but no one told us that there are long lines and limited numbers of tickets sold each day. Get there early or risk not seeing all of the exhibits
Situated in the Wawel Castle complex, you can see most of it for free. You have to pay for the bell tower.
