The museum has excellent collection of pictures of artists from Italy and Netherlands of XIV-XVII centuries.

A really good museum and worth spending an hour or 2 in when visiting Olomouc. I'd recommend getting the audio guide as well.

Olomouc does not have much museums to offer, but the Archdiocese Museum (right next to the Duomo cathedral) is in my opinion the best. Included in the Olomouc tourist card as a free attaction but it is free on a particular day of the week (check the website if you don't want to buy the card). The building is interesting because you go into the basement and roof area to see the older footings and roof.

In the former Olomouc castle building you can visit nice museum showing artistic collections of Olomouc archbishops. You can admire golden coach used at official ceremonies, you can see archeological findings in the basement and also some last parts of former Romanesque Premyslid palace.

Shares the entrance fee with the museum of modern art. Currently at 50kc, just 2 euros, this is more than worth the price. In both museums together there is enough to see, in both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The archdiocese museum has been impressively refurbished to minimize the impact by visitors.
